PROJECT BACKGROUND

For almost 10 years, I've been writing and recording material with my band, Skin Like Iron. The project has always been deeply personal for me, and has given me a valuable, ongoing opportunity to express myself visually and musically.

Using photo-based abstractions of color and texture, I've established a theme that visually unites our album covers. I tend to avoid creating objective imagery, and enjoy the process of transforming an image of something into something entirely different from its original form.

While I primarily use my own original photography for these album jackets, some of my t-shirt and flyer designs are based on film stills pulled from my favorite films, and other found source materials.
